Home of one of Butch Cassidy and the Hole-In-The-Wall
Gang's most daring heists. It was a daylight robbery of a coal-mining
company's train in Castlegate, UT, April 1897. Butch grabbed the satchel
of $9,000 and rode off. The gang shared proceeds form their robberies
with the widows and children of men killed or ruined by bankers and cattle

Had motel reservations here and arrived early. Paul did
laundry on the premises.
Next morning, Hwy. 50 piggybacks on I-70 to Grand Junction, Colorado. We
