One of the most massive gorges in the world. Royal Gorge Bridge The gorge was created some three million years ago when a trickle of water first began to slowly carve a canyon out of the solid granite bedrock. Today that trickle is the raging Arkansas, one of America's longest rivers. And the masterpiece it continues to carve at a rate of one foot every 2,500 years is the Royal Gorge.

The Royal Gorge is considered a world wonder often referred to as the Grand Canyon of the Arkansas River. Yet it's unlike any other canyon. The width at the canyon bottom is no more than 40 to 50 feet, while the top measures only a few hundred feet.

Open every day of the year, the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is located 12 miles west of Cañon City on US. Highway 50. A beautiful two-hour drive from Denver and one hour from Colorado Spring

Gas Money from supportive Classic Chevy owners.

The L.A. Classic Chevy Club is a non-profit club for owners and aficionados of 1955-56-57 Chevrolet cars, trucks, Corvettes and Nomads. It is a chapter of both the Bow Tie Chevy Association and Classic Chevy International - however membership in these organizations is not a requirement for membership in the L.A. Classic Chevy Club. We are based in Los Angeles, Calif., but have members from throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Norway and Australia. We welcome cars in all states of restoration, stock or modified, from daily drivers to trailered show cars. All we ask is that members share an interest in these truly classic Chevrolets.
